Thomas Kunert and Christoph Dressler won against Zeljkovic/Silic (CRO) and advanced to the Main Draw. After the first set (21:10) the Croatians had to forfeit due to painful cramps. The bye into the next round preserved some energy for our guys and is going to make them extra strong for the Main Draw.

Jörg Wutzl/Simon Frühbauer got beaten by Mermer/Urlu (TUR) in the first round of qualification with 13:15 in the last set. Until the Fuzhou Open, both Austrian teams have to practice a bit more.

Martin Ermacora and Moritz Pristauz had to withdraw their participation due to injury. Moritz injured his abdominal muscles.

The silver medal winners of Doha, Xandi Huber and Robin Seidl, are already qualified for the Main Draw.
