You might think winning two bronze medals in the past three Swatch Major Series tournaments would frustrate Chaim Schalk and Ben Saxton…NO CHANCE!

The consistent Canadians finished third at the Poreč Major and then grinded their way to another podium finish in the A1 Major Klagenfurt after overcoming young Polish pair Losiak/Bryl in the battle for bronze.

“We always do whatever it takes to win a medal,” said Chaim with a smile and a medal around his neck. “We pride ourselves on our hard work and it paid off – obviously we weren’t happy with losing the semifinal but we are pleased that we found our rhythm.

“We showed a lot of heart and character – and that’s what we’re all about as a team.”

And the partnership’s latest podium finish is the perfect preparation for a little trip to South America…

“We’ve been building towards the Copacabana,” said Ben. “We’ve won a couple of medals leading up to South America and we’ve shown that we are ready to win some more.”

Congratulations again boys and good luck!
